Why Nitrogen for Tires?

As more and more drivers and bikers are looking for nitrogen to fill their car and/or motorcycle tires, should you get a NITROGEN TIRE FILLING SYSTEM for your shop?

Nitrogen has been used to inflate aircraft tires to minimize expansion and contraction as a result of extreme changes in ambient temperature and pressure experienced during flight.

Nitrogen is a dry gas. Compressed air sources may contain moisture, which increases the tire expansion rate with temperature. So, nitrogen expands at the same rate as other dry atmospheric gases.

Nitrogen evolved to airplane use as a result of some limited cases of air-filled tires exploding, which was determined to be caused by volatile gases given off by a severely overheated tire. For that reason, the use of an inert gas (nitrogen) for tire inflation eliminates the possibility of tire explosion.
