CONTINENTAL TIRES FOR MOTORBIKES
Continental (Conti for short), is one more mega company that makes tires for riders all over the world. And just because that didn’t keep them busy enough, they also make auto brake systems, vehicle stability control systems, engine injection systems, as well as other parts for the automotive industries. Conti is based in Hanover, Germany and was founded in 1871 as a rubber manufacturer.
Continental Tire entered the American market rather late in the game, compared to the other big rubber conglomerates. In 1987 they purchased General Tire, which became Continental Tire of North America
Continental makes a wide variety of tires for motorbikes, including: racing tires, sport-bike tires, sport-touring tires, supermoto tires, “all around” tires, motocross tires, classic tires, cruiser/chopper tires, custom tires, enduro tires, and sport-classic tires.
