Vintage Evel Knievel ShirtVintage Motorcycle Shirts: Definition

The American Heritage Dictionary notes these two definitions for VINTAGE:

♦ Characterized by excellence, maturity, and enduring appeal; classic.

♦ Old or outmoded.

Given that criteria, I’d say the link below to “vintage” motorcycle shirts for men and women includes a selection that may be taking liberties with the first definition and may also represent the second definition in other circumstances. (You’ll have to draw your own conclusions).

Vintage Motorcycle Shirts from the 70’s for Men and Women

Many of these VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE SHIRTSderive from the 70’s, when bell bottom pants were in vogue, Led Zeppelin ruled rock and roll, Jaws and Star Wars were the big blockbuster movies, construction for the World Trade Center Twin Towers was completed, America pulled out of the Vietnam War, the world survived two oil crises, and motorcycles were getting bigger, better, and faster. As well, Evel Knievel was at his height of fame and the Japanese eclipsed the English in the competition for high-performance machines to beat.

It’s amazing how dated some of the logos and designs from that era look now, but it was a great time for the motorcycle world, and if you are inclined toward nostalgia, you’ll find some old and familiar shirts sporting imagery from Harley Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Triumph, Yamaha and more.
